On May 15th, 2008 Meow Wolf opened our first group installation, "Biome Neuro Norb". Beginning with the concept of a sci-fi world, "Biome" quickly became an experiment in filling space with material on a zero budget. Every inch of the space was covered with mostly recycled materials, painted and altered to look alien and foreign. The fictional context for the show spoke to a group of space-settlers who could create organic ecosystems from the trash-heap materials that overtook Earth in the 21st century.
